At The Snapshot Cafe, we believe every love story deserves to be told with honesty, elegance, and heart. Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of providing wedding photography for a wonderful same-sex couple — two beautiful brides — who celebrated their special day at Kingston Register Office, followed by a stylish reception at Richmond Hill Hotel.
An Intimate and Joyful Ceremony
This was an intimate, short-style wedding day, yet it was overflowing with love and genuine happiness. Only their closest family members and friends attended, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere from the very beginning.

When we arrived at the town hall, we greeted the brides as we always do — with smiles and excitement — ready to document every meaningful moment.

During the ceremony, we positioned ourselves at different angles to capture both perspectives. This allowed us to photograph emotional reactions, exchanged glances, and natural expressions throughout the vows. As the brides did not require videography services, we focused entirely on delivering beautiful, storytelling photography for their day.
After the ceremony, we gathered everyone outside the town hall for group photos, followed by a joyful confetti celebration filled with laughter and cheers.
Elegant Reception at Richmond Hill

We then moved to the elegant and classically designed Richmond Hill Hotel. Having previously photographed and filmed weddings at this venue, we are very familiar with its lighting, banquet layout, and table arrangements, which allows us to work smoothly and efficiently.

Once the brides arrived, we captured natural drinks reception moments, detailed shots of the banquet décor, and beautiful cake-cutting photos before dinner began. Every detail reflected their style: timeless, romantic, and heartfelt.

Romantic Couple Photos at Richmond Hill
One of the most special parts of their wedding day was the couple photoshoot near Richmond Hill Viewing Point and the iconic Aphrodite (Bulbous Betty) Statue.
This is a location we often recommend to our couples. It is one of the most picturesque spots for engagement and wedding photography in Richmond and South West London. With sweeping riverside views and beautiful green spaces, it offers a romantic atmosphere in every season — winter, spring, summer, and autumn.

Here, we captured intimate, loving moments between the brides — from gentle embraces to joyful laughter and romantic kisses — all set against the stunning natural backdrop.
By the end of the day, everyone was glowing with happiness. We said goodbye with big smiles, feeling truly honoured to have documented such a meaningful celebration.

Love Is Love
We are incredibly grateful to work with couples from all backgrounds and communities. Capturing LGBTQ+ weddings is something we deeply cherish, and we are proud to support and celebrate love in all its beautiful forms.
We wish these two brides a lifetime of happiness together and cannot wait to see them again to capture more wedding photos — and perhaps cinematic films — in the future.

Sometimes nice wedding photos do not have grand settings or flashy ones, but show the actual, honest connection between two people. If you would like to know more about tips for making your photos truly yours, contact us.
