We recently had the honour of providing elopement wedding photography for an incredibly warm and friendly couple from New Zealand on their best day in central London, England.

The lovely bride actually called us while we were in the middle of another couple’s pre-wedding photo and video shoot trip in Budapest and Vienna. As soon as we returned to London, we organised this sweet mini elopement wedding photo session with them — just the next day!

A Romantic Start in Chelsea
On the day of the wedding, the couple had a small ceremony in Chelsea Old Town Hall. We met the couple in Chelsea and began by capturing their intimate restaurant dinner photos at The Ivy Chelsea. The restaurant had such a unique atmosphere, beautifully designed interiors, and even a live singer and pianoist, which gave us the perfect backdrop for elegant and cinematic photos.

Iconic Wedding Street Photos in South Kensington
After dinner, we headed to South Kensington for more couple portraits. Our first stop was the Natural History Museum, where we took advantage of the grand entrance and its iconic staircase. We have photographed there a few times before, and this time the curious museum visitors were so sweet, watching and smiling as we photographed the couple’s big moments.

Then we made our way to the nearby Victoria and Albert Museum. We created a magical series of wedding street photos outside, using the grand museum entrance gate as a beautiful backdrop — just as the rain began to fall, adding an extra romantic touch.
London City Romance and The Ritz

During our planning consultation, the couple had considered a few green garden-style portraits in Hyde Park. However, with the rainy weather and their love for the city vibes, they chose to continue with romantic city wedding photos instead.
After their wedding banquet dinner (just for the two of them!), we met them at The Ritz London, one of the city’s most iconic 5-star luxury hotels.

Inside The Ritz, we captured stunning indoor portraits where the hotel’s spectacular architecture elevated the photos to another level. We also took some outdoor shots in front of the hotel — candid walking photos with Londoners passing by — giving the images a cinematic feel, almost like a movie set.

Our Approach to Shorter Wedding Day Coverage
We always carefully plan how we capture each couple’s day, whether it’s a full wedding or shorter coverage of the wedding day like this one.
At the end of this special day, we said goodbye to this warm, joyful couple and delivered a set of teaser photos the very next day, with the full gallery to follow soon after.
You can view their full wedding gallery on our website and see more behind-the-scenes moments on our Facebook page.
If you are looking for an elopement photographer, a London wedding photographer, or a team that can capture your shorter wedding day coverage with an artistic eye and a love for real, heartfelt moments — we would be honoured to tell your story.
