One of the trends which is coming up for Spring Summer this year is pastels, pale blues, pinks, lilacs and mint colours are popular shades. This can be interpreted in coloured stones, for example aquamarine, rose quartz stones along with pale shades of green quartz stones and pale amethysts.
With regards to earrings, fine dainty stud earrings are in fashion along with drop earrings including drops on chains. These styles would look great on the wedding day with different styles of wedding dresses. Layering of chains are in fashion and have been popular for some time, brides can wear different lengths of fine chains together over their wedding dresses for a fashionable look. Yellow and white gold along with platinum are popular metals for bridal jewellery. Diamonds are also one of the most popular stones for brides. This can be for bridal jewellery on the wedding day or for both wedding and engagement jewellery. White diamonds and coloured diamonds are on trend. Coloured diamonds come in a variety of different shades including black.
Using coloured stones for engagement rings is an up and coming trend and this is an alternative to using diamonds. There are many precious and other beautiful stones to select from including rubies, sapphires and emeralds.
Pearls make for elegant bridal jewellery and also come in different colours including shades of cream, grey, black and gold. Pearls can be worn as earrings, necklaces and bracelets. There are many contemporary designs which make the jewellery look fashionable and fun.
There is a shift away from traditional engagement rings for contemporary, cutting edge designs. Engaged couples are looking for jewellery that is a bit different from the jewellery that their mothers or grandmothers wore.
Men’s jewellery is being shown on the catwalks and also makes for a great look for men. Tie clips and tie pins can be fun to wear along with collar tips, cufflinks and bracelets on the wedding day.
